Garden Design & Installation

An experienced garden designer and hands-on gardener, I am passionate about adapting existing gardens to better suit Perth’s challenging conditions, our changing climate and a realistic lifestyle. I particularly love to create cottage-garden style gardens incorporating native species.

I will create a garden tailored to your specific preferences and lifestyle and can work to a schedule and budget that suits you.

I begin with an initial consultation and site visit, where I will have a discussion with you about what you’re looking for, and assess what I think will work best in the space based on soil type,  aspect and any other restrictions. From there I’ll put together a mood board, followed by a detailed design and planting schedule. From this point you can choose whether to take the design and implement it yourself, or you can engage me to supply the plants and labour to create it.

Following the installation of your garden, I will provide you with detailed care instructions and a complete list of plants for your reference. If you’d like ongoing maintenance, I offer garden maintenance services as well.

Garden Maintenance

I offer comprehensive maintenance services for residential and commercial gardens. Maintenance can include watering, pruning, mulching, weeding, pest prevention and treatment, as well as clean ups. I provide all the tools and equipment and will leave the space spotless! Choose from one-off, monthly or seasonal services, depending on your needs.

Dwellingup Native Garden

Brief: Design, install and maintain a native garden at the base of an existing pool on a rural property in Dwellingup, WA. Plants needed to suit the existing surrounds, be low-growing so as not to block the view, and be easy to maintain. The client also wanted to include a rustic fire-pit as a central feature.

East Fremantle Front Garden

Brief: Design and install a new garden in an existing front bed in an East Fremantle residence. The client’s preference was for sculptural plants with a focus on natives and succulents, and colours that complemented the existing tones of the house.

Floreat Garden

Brief: Update an existing front garden to incorporate easy-care, mostly native plants and create a lush, contemporary cottage garden style. Install plants in new back garden bed, focusing on edible and flowering plants, and incorporating elements to cover the fence and pergola.
